Register for the Youth Committee Virtual Race from April 10th- April 24th! Whether you choose to create a team or opt to run/walk yourself, there is an option for everyone! You will have two weeks to conquer your challenge, while making a difference in the lives of people living with cancer and their families. Please remember to set up a personal fundraising page to maximize your efforts or form a fundraising team with family and friends.

THIS EVENT BENEFITS:
The mission of Gilda’s Club Westchester is to create welcoming communities of free support for everyone living with cancer – men, women, teens and children – along with their families and friends. Our innovative programs are an essential complement to medical care, providing individual counseling, support groups, workshops, education and social activities.
With zero gap in programming, GCW pivoted to provide remote services starting on March 16th due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since that time, we have seen increased needs and participation from our community. Many cancer patients express more isolation and anxiety due to their immunocompromised state and delays in consultation, treatment and follow-up. Caregivers report rising pressures in the home related to employment, finances and childcare, and our teens have been isolated at home-lacking the structure, socialization, and routine that is so crucial to their mental and physical health.
The need for psychosocial support and connection was undeniable and GCW responded immediately by offering support groups, counseling, workshops, classes and lectures via remote platforms like Zoom. Since April 1, we have provided over 600 support groups, classes, workshops and counseling sessions.

Registration for this event will close on APRIL 24th at 10:00PM. All registrants must run their virtual race by 11:59PM on APRIL 24th. After that, time submissions will no longer be posted to the results
